Thorium Dioxide (Thorotrast), a substance previously used in x-rays has been reportedly linked to the formation of Pleural Mesothelioma and Peritoneal Mesothelioma. The use of Thorium Dioxide has been discontinued for many years since this connection to Mesothelioma was discovered.
